Privacy
Privacy policy
In one line. Your firearms, your ammunition, your sessions and your scores are stored only on your phone. The camera scores hits on the device itself and target photos are never uploaded anywhere. No account, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking.
What stays on your device
Everything that defines your use of AIMer lives on the phone in your hand:
- Your gun cabinet — the firearms you add (type, calibre, configuration) and your ammunition lots.
- Your shooting sessions — date, event, discipline, number of shots, the target used and any conditions you note.
- Your scores — the position and value of each hit the camera detects on the target, together with any manual corrections you make, and the history of your strings.
- Your preferences — language, theme, default ruleset/target and other settings. Local.
- Your subscription and trial status — cached locally to confirm that your trial period or subscription is active (see below).
There is no AIMer server storing your gun cabinet, your sessions, your scores or your photos. There is no account or sign-up: you download the app, open it and use it.
The camera and target photos
AIMer's core function is to locate and score the hits on a target using the phone's camera. It matters that you know exactly what happens to those images:
- The target image is processed entirely on the device. Hit detection and score computation happen on your phone, without sending the photo to any server.
- AIMer does not upload, store in the cloud, or share your target photos. If an image is kept, it is kept only in the app's private storage, on your device.
- No third-party computer-vision service is used: the analysis is local.
Location and weather
Location is optional and serves a single purpose: to auto-fill the weather conditions of a session when you ask for it.
- Only if you enable that feature, AIMer reads your coordinates at that moment and sends them to the free weather service open-meteo to fetch the weather (temperature, wind, etc.) at the place of your string.
- No location history is stored and you are not tracked. The coordinates are used for that one-off lookup and to note the weather on the session you are creating.
- If you don't use the automatic weather feature, AIMer neither requests nor reads your location.
Purchases and subscription
AIMer comes with a 30-day trial and, afterwards, an annual subscription. Billing is handled exclusively by Apple App Store or Google Play: AIMer never sees your card, IBAN, bank details or any financial data.
To confirm that your trial or subscription is still valid, the app contacts a service of ours at iap.sggyamg.com. What travels in that exchange is:
- The receipt or purchase identifier issued by the store, so the server can verify with Apple or Google that it is genuine.
- A device identifier that acts as the anchor for the trial period: it prevents the 30-day trial from being reset by reinstalling the app. It is a technical identifier, not an advertising identifier, and it is not tied to your name, your email or your identity.
The server only responds with whether your trial or subscription is active. It does not receive or store your firearms, your sessions, your scores or your photos.
What we don't do
- No analytics SDK — no Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics or equivalents.
- No advertising identifier — we don't read or transmit IDFA on iOS or AAID on Android.
- No third-party tracking SDKs of any kind.
- No advertising inside the app or in notifications.
- No AIMer server storing your data. The only backend we run validates the trial and the subscription, as described above.
- No account. There's no sign-up because there's no backend that wants to know who you are.
Permissions
- Camera — to frame the target and score the hits. The image is processed on the device; it is not uploaded to any server.
- Photos — optional. Only if you choose to score from a photo already in your gallery instead of capturing it live.
- Location — optional. Only if you enable a session's automatic weather, as explained above.
- Notifications — optional. Only for the reminders you set up inside the app. They are local notifications; there is no remote push.

Sensitive data and age
AIMer is a sport-shooting tool aimed at adults in a sporting context (typically affiliated to a federation). It does not collect special categories of personal data under the GDPR (health, beliefs, biometrics for identification, etc.): the data you manage is sporting in nature and stays on your device. The app is not intended for minors.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to know what personal data is processed about you. Because AIMer runs no server that stores your gun cabinet, your sessions or your scores, the answer is essentially: none leaves your device, other than the technical identifier used to validate the purchase and anchor the trial.
To access or erase your data: since it is local, just clear the app's data or uninstall it — that removes the gun cabinet, sessions, scores, photos and cached subscription information. For anything related to your purchase or subscription (including a request to delete the trial identifier tied to your purchase), write to us. Remember to cancel the subscription in Apple or Google before uninstalling if you don't want it to renew.
